endless music at the stuttgart pop testival 1974: the postfluxuspostkraut artist albrecht/d. live and in rehearsal

and this fnording world wide internet does not know appsoulutelay nononotnothing about the stuttgart pop testival that took place on the 25th of may 1974 in (you guess!) stuttgart in southwestgermany. and so of course we have no idea if it was a free festival or not, if it lasted longer than this one saturday in may, and even more we have no idea who played and performed at this testival.

the only evidence of this "testival" is a tape we found in the legacy and bequest of the stuttgart postfluxus artist albrecht/d. who obviously performed his concept of endless music within the limited frameworks of this festival. a very short excerpt of this performance can be found on his album abstract energy, but here is some more.

this well known excerpt of the first part of the performance of course features albrecht/d. himself on longstrings and percussion, and bernd jaiser executing some background noise; the complete version remained unearthed and unheard until now. for the second part of the performance they were joined by thomas niggl on guitars and other devices, this part of the performance has never been released before.

and so here are some 74 minutes i edited from a 90-minute-tape for the better or worse: the recording starts with a ten-minute-soundcheck at the jugendhaus mitte on the 25th of may 1974 enriched with a very abstract and theoretical disscourse of albrecht/d. talking about stockhausen and balinese music crossing over to the first set with a/d. and bernd jaiser. this is followed by the second set with thomas niggl as far as we can guess on guitar, followed by a rehearsal room situation that we found on the a-side of this tape, followed by an incoherent excerpt of the live-recording that was annexed to the rehearsal room recordings.
